KIDS

We want church to be a welcoming place where your whole family feels inspired to grow closer to Christ.

We understand how hectic life can be and how quickly children grow. At Freedom Choice Disciples of Christ Kids, we are committed to partnering with you to foster your child's faith during these vital early years.

While this program is still in development, we are actively exploring ways to launch and engage with you.

Join us in person on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 1:30 pm in the building, or watch us live on Facebook at the same time.

Discipleship opportunities play a crucial role in supporting the spiritual journey of our children, youth, and young adults.

Connect with us live on Facebook from our home studio on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 10 am.

Additionally, every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 7 pm, join us live on Facebook for Bible trivia as we delve into God’s Word together.

STUDENTS

In student ministry, we strive to lead students to become passionate followers of Christ.

By partnering with parents and trained leaders, our mission is to teach and inspire the next generation to be founded in their faith and confident in their Creator.

Through regular Bible study and small group gatherings, we encourage students to walk boldly towards Christ, apply His truth to their lives, and develop strong, life-changing relationships with the God of the universe.

We want our students to know Jesus so that they might be excited about sharing His name and making Him known to others.

Our prayer is that the church would be the future of our world and our students, the future of the church.

walking as a disciple, serving as deacons.

At Freedom Choice Disciples Of Christ, we believe that being a disciple of Jesus means more than just believing—it means actively following His example of love, humility, and service every day. This same heart of discipleship is at the core of what it means to be a deacon.

Discipleship as Foundation
When someone becomes a disciple, they commit to growing deeper in their relationship with Christ, learning His teachings, and living out His love by caring for others. This lifelong journey shapes their character, focusing on qualities like faithfulness, gentleness, and compassion.

Qualifications of a Deacon:
Scripture (1 Timothy 3:8-13) describes deacons as people who are dignified, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They hold to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. These qualifications highlight integrity, maturity, and a strong commitment to Christ’s teachings—all fruits of discipleship.

Seeing the Connection:
Faithfulness Just as disciples remain faithful to Christ’s call, deacons faithfully serve the church community, reflecting that same dedication.

Character: The character formed through discipleship—gentleness, patience, and humility—is essential for deacons as they minister to the needs of others.

  Service:
Discipleship calls us to serve one another; the role of a deacon is a tangible expression of that call, meeting practical needs and embodying Christ’s love.

   Witness:
Both disciples and deacons bear witness to God’s grace. Deacons do this through their actions of care and leadership, demonstrating what it means to live the gospel in daily life.

empowering FREEdom, one person at a timE

In the Bible, true freedom often refers not just to physical liberty but to freedom of the heart and spirit. For example, Galatians 5:1 says, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

This reminds us that through faith, we are freed from the burdens that weigh us down — such as fear, guilt, or the trap of materialism. Living within our means can be part of that freedom too because it allows us to walk in peace and avoid the stress and bondage of debt.

LIVING WITHIN YOUR MEANs.
The Bible offers wonderful guidance on living within your means, encouraging wisdom, contentment, and stewardship. For instance, Proverbs 21:20 says, "The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down." This highlights the importance of managing resources carefully.

Additionally, Proverbs 22:7 reminds us, "The borrower is slave to the lender," which encourages us to avoid unnecessary debt and live within what we can afford. The New Testament also gently teaches contentment in Philippians 4:11-12, where Paul says he has learned to be content in any situation.

Overall, the Bible invites us to be responsible with our resources, to avoid greed, and to trust God’s provision, living simply and gratefully.

Baptism

Sign up for Baptism... I'm all in with my new walk in christ

Baptism symbolizes Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, representing a believer’s new life in Christ. It is an outward sign of the inner commitment to God, not a means of salvation—only faith in Christ saves. Anyone who believes in Jesus should be baptized, following His example and command. Baptism should happen soon after believing, showing obedience to Christ. It is done by immersion, just as Jesus was baptized, best illustrating His death and resurrection.
